Dream a New Dream

Do you observe life and ask yourself, “What part of this is truly real?” The natural world is real, nature is real, you as an organic human being are real, but everything you observe around you in society is part of a contrived and enforced matrix.

Do you ever feel like you are simply existing in a program over which you have no control? The matrix of society is built on ever-shifting sand, where individuals at the top of the social hierarchy constantly make up new rules for those “beneath them”.

When I was a child, I had several recurring lucid nightmares that haunted me night after night, until my consciousness finally realized that I actually had the power to direct my dreams and change the outcome. When I came to that realization and experimented with it, the fear-induced dreams ended. Whatever part of my psyche that was susceptible to the fear was overruled by my deep  desire and intention to overcome it.

Why is our awake time in this world any different? We can play victim to the fear spun in this authority and media contrived matrix, or we can decide that we will have intention to manifest a different outcome for ourselves.

What will be your dream of life today? Theirs, or yours?

A New Paradigm

We stand on the cusp
of a new time,
a new way of being.

Discontent with a
world that promotes
war for profit,
materialism as self-worth,
divides and conquers
us at every turn.

We say “no” to it all,
and envision a world
where freedom and peace,
love for the Earth
and humanity at large
become reality.

Where abundance in
every way possible
is made manifest
for the good of All,
and love is the force
that prevails.

We have the power
with our thoughts,
love, and intention
to create this
New Paradigm,
and the time is now.

Legend of the Rainbow Warriors

The Māori of New Zealand pay homage to many ancient legends and stories that explain their beginnings, their ancestors, their deep connection with Papatūānuku (Mother Earth), and their relationship with Io-Matua-Kore, God-the-Parentless, the supreme spiritual power.

The Three Baskets of Knowledge is the story of Tāne, the god of forests and of birds, and the son of Ranginui and Papatūanuku, the sky father and the earth mother. Tāne was called to make the journey and ascend through the many realms to the uppermost realm, occupied only by Io-Matua-Kore, in order to obtain the three baskets of knowledge (of upper realms, the rainbow, and spiritual powers) and bring them back to Earth for the benefit of all humankind.

The rainbow as a bridge between realms, and as a sign of hope and inspiration for the world, is found in countless legends and stories of the indigenous cultures. Many believe that under the symbol of the rainbow, humanity will come into balance with one another and the Earth to experience the Golden Age.

There is an ancient theme that runs through many American Native legends that warns of the devastation the European white man would bring to the land. However, the myths also promise that when the devastation was at its worst, spiritually aligned souls among peoples of all colors, peoples of the rainbow, would feel a calling of spirit and come together to bring life back into proper balance.

These souls, who would do no violence and would work to end violence, would be called the Rainbow Warriors. The time of the Rainbow Warriors has come.

“When the Earth is sick, the animals will begin to disappear; when that happens, The Warriors of the Rainbow will come to save them.” ~ Chief Seattle (Seathl), Du-wamish-Suquamish, 1785-1866

On the Road to Wellness

The events of the past few years have given me much cause to think about how we define wellness. What is most disturbing is the extent to which humans worldwide are living in poor health, either by circumstance or by choice. Humanity as a collective is not in a state of good health.

Yes, there are countries and cultures where poverty dictates the level of health possible. However, in richer countries we see how people are overfed, sedentary, and spending too much time on their computers and phones. These all lead to physical states that make them vulnerable to many diseases.

And who is waiting in the wings with their “magic antidotes”? Big pharma, that collective of corporations who make gargantuan profits from our illnesses. Do you honestly think that generally speaking they have our wellness in mind? We live in a system that reacts to illness, rather than proactively promoting good health. These two positions are light years apart!

Good health is not merely the absence of disease. There Is a vibrancy to wellness that cannot be derived from anything but taking good care of ourselves. All of the good things that we’ve known keep us well still apply. Fresh air, nature, nourishing food, physical exercise, adequate rest, playfulness, companionship, friendship, doing what we love. Oh yes, and the big one, simply LOVE in all of its forms and connections.

How often do you see any of that being talked about in mainstream media? “Seldom” would be an overstatement. Rather we are fed a constant thought diet of dire predictions. Do you notice in the news of late that we keep hearing about the next pandemic around the corner? When you consider the connections between mind, body, and spirit, these messages alone are damaging us. They create worry and fear, which are very low vibration states. Negative thoughts and a low vibration make us vulnerable to physical illness.

In my opinion, wellness is just one of the ways in which our societal systems need a complete overhaul. All change begins with new thought. We need to change how we think about wellness, and develop a new vision for what is possible. A completely new philosophy is in order to move to a new paradigm.

We don’t need to wait for the system to change. We can make the change(s) ourselves (anytime, not just at a new year), and our thoughts, actions, and vibration will ripple outward to influence those around us. It is a “bottom to top” approach of change. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to incorporate more fresh vegetables and fruits into my diet every day, because I get busy and forget to eat them. (Whoosh! There goes another day where I could have nourished my body better. Overall I eat healthy cooked whole foods – not overly processed destructive calories – BUT, there is a high vibration to fresh uncooked vegetables and fruit that cannot be substituted by anything else.)

Another resolution is to get even better at not treating myself like a work robot, too much focused on tasks and performance. As with the high vibration foods, I don’t schedule enough time for high vibration play. I have made progress in this area in the past year, and our two cats are helping me to get even better at it. I take more breaks now to simply be and PLAY with them.

Today I urge you also to embark on a path of personal holistic wellness, if you are not doing so already. And if you are, congratulations because it takes some self-discipline and determination to create and stick to good health habits. Please think about taking it further by encouraging someone else to do so when you see they are asking for help.

By disconnecting from the media negativity, embracing what feels good and resonates with our souls, by listening to our bodies, minds, and spirits, and seeking joyfulness in life, we as a collective can move forward into a much different human experience. Let’s together make 2025 the year to choose true wellness!

“There are many aspects to success; material wealth is only one component. …But success also includes good health, energy and enthusiasm for life, fulfilling relationships, creative freedom, emotional and psychological stability, a sense of well-being, and peace of mind.” ~ Deepak Chopra

The Angels of Love & Kindness

Excerpted from Nan’s Angels, which is a children’s story, but the messages are ageless. Especially for Christmas Day, these are the angels that I’d like to share with you:

The Angel of Love

Nan says this one might be her most important angel. It is the Angel of Love.

“Where would our world be without love, Kate? Think of all the people and things you love already, and you are still very young. As you grow up, it will become even more so.

“Your love will bring many good things to you. Everything will become bigger. Love is the magic potion that will make your life grow. Always remember that, Kate.”

The Angel of Kindness

Nan’s favorite angel does not live in the box. She is a stone statue in Nan’s garden. Nan calls her the Angel of Kindness. We go outside to visit her. She is a bit green from moss, and her wings make a giant heart. “Why is she your favorite, Nan?”

“Because, Kate, this angel picked some flowers to give a gift to someone. That’s kindness. Kindness is a way of showing love. The more people are kind, the better the world is.”

“She’s the most beautiful, Nan. I will remember to be kind.”

You will find Nan’s Angels in my ebookstore.

Merry Christmas. May all the joy of life be yours, today and always. Thank you for reading my blog. 🙂

All I Want for Christmas

All I want for Christmas is World Peace. Well not really, but Santa dear, that’s the big present I want. I also want more Love, Joy, Beauty, Adventure, Abundance, and Celebration. My list is even longer than that, if you have the time to read it. No, I’m not a greedy girl, Santa! I want all of these things for everybody. But what I really want this year, most of all, is World Peace. Can you please bring it to me this year? Can you? Can you?

Santa (trying valiantly to not roll his eyes) scolds me, “Every year you ALL talk about it at Christmas time. Peace On Earth! Pshaw! As long as I’ve been in the biz, people have been asking for it. You’re nothing new. Why should I especially grant you such a wish? You are just one in billions!”

Then Santa asks me to lean in so he can whisper in my ear, and he tells me a secret. We can’t just ask or wish for World Peace to appear under the tree. It’s not something that some company manufactures and we can buy it with money. And he hates to admit it to me (shh!), but even he cannot deliver it! We actually have to claim it, and create it together. We have to choose leaders who are on our side, and if they’re not, they are out on their ears! We also have to make peace for ourselves, with ourselves, with family we may not get along with, with our neighbors, and on it goes… Mending fences, making peace. Peace rippling outward until it becomes a gargantuan wave rolling around an increasingly beautiful world that WE create!

Sounds too simple, right? Not really. Waves of thought can change things in extraordinary ways in a nano second.

So I ask you, will we ALL choose World Peace for 2025? I don’t know about you, but it’s all I really want this Christmas.
