Black & White & Rainbows

Right, wrong,
north, south,
black, white,
which way do I go?

I have walked the flat
gray plane of existence
that this 3rd dimension
too often can be,
futilely exploring
the monotones of
an oft desolate place,
where each small
blade of grass shivers
sadly in the landscape,
calling out to the sky.

And I’ve wondered –
If white is all color,
and black its absence,
where are the colors between?

So I left that plane
and I’m climbing
a shining mountain;
I will not rest ’til
I find all my colors,
that grand view above
a too narrow horizon.
The trek is exhilarating,
the views are breathtaking,
and I’m heading for that
brilliant peak yonder.

It’s the place of my dreams,
where rainbows gleam
and eagles soar,
and my soul can live free.

Feeling Crazy

The level of craze
in the world these days, highlights
what’s still out of sight.

We humans invent,
on “progress” we’re bent, believing
stories we’re weaving.

But we turn our backs
on what it all lacks, the lies
and how the world cries.

If only we’d see
our humanity, the All,
will we feel the call?

Together we’d heal,
and we wouldn’t feel – crazy,
but only maybe.

We ALL must decide
in sane we’ll reside, make peace
will be the release –

from crazy.

Unlocking Our Love

Infinite love already exists in everything that is alive, including you and me. Our love lessons are about removing the obstacles to love. They teach us out how to access, express, and live it. That is, if we choose to learn.

This can feel difficult in a world that is expressing so much dissension and “un-love”. But each of us is a potential key to healing it.

Fear, anger, prejudice… we employ a myriad of padlocks to hold our love hostage. Every experience around love is an opportunity for self-examination. Our souls desire to learn how to love better.

Consider that perhaps the high tension in the world right now is a challenge to each of us to work on unlocking our own love. Together, we can collectively unleash a world of love that has never been seen before.

Chimborazo

There is nothing quite like a mountain to remind us of Earth’s power and majesty. Stories and legends abound about mountains, and they are considered sacred in various cultures worldwide. Don’t miss these great photos of 6 of the most sacred mountains on Earth.

The subject of this haiku, Chimborazo, is a dormant volcano and the highest mountain in the Andes mountain chain in Ecuador. At 20,548 ft., its summit is the farthest point on the Earth’s surface when measured from the Earth’s center. The indigenous peoples in Ecuador have dubbed Chimborazo “Taita”, which means father.
