A Magical Life

You do, you do, you do… have magic within you! You are at your very core and essence a creator. Just like Dorothy and her ruby shoes in the Wizard of Oz, the power to create your own best life (as well as to change the world around you) has always existed within you. The challenge is to believe you can do it, so do not let naysayers convince you otherwise. Believe in yourself!

How do you tap into your ability to create? You were born with powerful tools at your disposal; I urge you to use them:

  1. Your mind (power of your thoughts)
  2. Your heart (expansive love connects you to it All)
  3. Your higher knowing (also known as your intuition)

Now that’s a lot of power at your disposal! It’s time to create some magic…

Inspirational Quotes:

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” ~ Roald Dahl

“We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already.” ~ J.K. Rowling

Believe in your heart that you’re meant to live a life full of passion, purpose, magic and miracles.” ~ Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” ~ W.B. Yeats

“I address you all tonight for who you truly are: wizards, mermaids, travelers, adventurers, and magicians. You are the true dreamers.” ~ Brian Selznick

“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!” ~ John Anster

“Stories you read when you’re the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you’ll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit.” ~ Neil Gaiman, M Is for Magic

Humanity, Awaken!

The current awakening of humanity is an opening of hearts and minds. We are standing on the threshold of a new era, but we must first say no to an old paradigm that in so many ways just isn’t working for us.

To say that this time is important is hugely understating it. Humanity is riding the wave on the cusp of a gargantuan shift in consciousness. Change is a scary proposition and we have a tendency to avoid it at all cost. However, the current global situation has thrown down the gauntlet for you, me, and the rest of humanity. The big question is, will we rise to the occasion and create something better for ourselves?

Take the time to ask questions, and while you’re searching for the answers, listen not only to your head, but also to your heart and your gut. What do you do see around you that is failing? Where will you put your mind to create the new reality?

There is a voice crying to be heard inside of you. It is your own, but it is also connected to all of humanity. Hear its song and feel its pulse. We are all inextricably connected, and your mind is part of a greater whole (humanity) that decides in what direction our world will move. You have more influence in that decision than you might imagine.

And therein lies the crux of the matter. You must imagine.

Inspirational Quotes:

“They say: ‘If a man knew himself,
he would know all mankind.’
I say: ‘If a man loved mankind,
he would know something of himself.”
~ Khalil Gibran

“All knowledge that the world has ever received comes from the mind; the infinite library of the universe is in our own mind.” ~ Swami Vivekananda

“Doesn’t it seem to you,” asked Madame Bovary, “that the mind moves more freely in the presence of that boundless expanse, that the sight of it elevates the soul and gives rise to thoughts of the infinite and the ideal?” ~ Gustave Flaubert

“Push yourself to do more and to experience more. Harness your energy to start expanding your dreams. Yes, expand your dreams. Don’t accept a life of mediocrity when you hold such infinite potential within the fortress of your mind. Dare to tap into your greatness.” ~ Robin S. Sharma

State

Earth, air, and fire, yes,
but water’s the element
that tempers them all.

Everything boils down to essence. Humans are 50%-65% water. We are very powerful, even in our physical essence.

Time of Our Lives

“Time is the school in which we learn, Time is the fire in which we burn.” are the profound last lines of the poem, Calmly We Walk through This April’s Day, by Delmore Schwartz. It’s a beautiful philosophical contemplation of the passage of time, with a particularly great wrap-up last stanza.

The seconds, minutes, hours tick away relentlessly. Our lives are busy, and inundated with many distractions and responsibilities. Lately I’m looking at my age and thinking, “Wow! It’s going faster than I ever imagined at age 18.”

Realistically, we don’t have time to sit around and endlessly ponder about the value of time and our lives. But, it’s useful to carve out a little time (from time to time) for such introspection. Because your life IS precious, and the clock IS ticking. Ask yourself in this moment, are you spending your life the way you really desire to?

It is crucially important to have vision and intention for our lives. Otherwise, we will just end up with someone else’s idea of how life should be.

Inspirational Time Quotes:

“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.” ~ Mark Twain

“Each day means a new twenty-four hours. Each day means everything’s possible again. You live in the moment, you die in the moment, you take it all one day at a time.” ~ Marie Lu

“Don’t waste your time in anger, regrets, worries, and grudges. Life is too short to be unhappy.” ~ Roy T. Bennett

“All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.” ~ Mitch Albom

Seeing

Beauty beholder,
open your eyes wide, look deep.
It’s everywhere.

The Offering

The little girl
offered her mum
the flower, a
token of love,
innocence free
of any labels,
expectations,
rules, and
boundaries.

“That’s not
a flower, it’s
a weed! You
don’t give
that to people,
we kill it,
it makes the
lawn ugly,
throw it away!”

Heartbroken,
the little girl
retreated to
her room, not
understanding
why her mother
could not see
the beauty of
her offering.

Years passed,
the girl grown up,
obeying the rules,
prepared to spray
the hated yellow,
so the neighbors
would envy her
pristine grass.

Feeling a tug
on her sleeve,
she turned to
scold her young
daughter for
interrupting this
urgent work,
couldn’t she wait
just a minute?

Her daughter’s
expectant smile,
with little hand
clasping a sad
drooping flower,
“Let’s save this
one, Mommy”,
transported her
back in time.

These days
dandelions live
wild and free
in this front yard,
shouting out
in happy yellow
to all who’ll listen,
transforming a
world of rules to
a journey of joy.
