Different Drummer

Looking at the state of the world today, I do believe we are in desperate need of more nonconformists, people who refuse to see or do it the same old way. As Albert Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them”.

So dance your dance to the drum you hear, and let people call you “weird” if they may. How else is the world ever going to change? We must not let the judgement of others hold our souls hostage.

Dare to Be You

Have you given yourself full permission yet? That is, to be unashamedly, unabashedly, unapologetically you? If you have not, don’t worry. The judgement of others is something that holds us all back. Sometimes it is a lifetime journey to get to that point where we say, “To heck with what others think. I MUST be me.”

That is a place worth aiming for. It sets your soul free.

Change the World

Life actually gets easier when we realize that it is not something that “happens to us”. The world and our experiences are a reflection and response to our internal landscape.

Free Mind

We owe it to ourselves to expose our minds to many points of view. Reading widely and diversely is a good starting point. In a time where everything is increasingly politicized, mass media narrative can easily become a form of advertising for political agenda. A free mind yearns to see beyond the consensual narrative and reality.

Living Reverently

Reverence for life feels like it is in short supply these days. We are each instruments of change. When we love life and embrace the beauty, when we make that an essential part of our lives every day, our lives become sacred. We bring reverence to the world.

"Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground." Rumi
