Resonate

Earth has her own beat,
when my rhythm and hers meet,
my peace feels complete.

The scientific study of the full effects of interference with the Shchumann Resonance ELF waves on our well-being is still in its infancy. But, studies to date suggest that when human vibration is out of sync with the Earth’s resonant heartbeat, we are not in a prime state of health. There are many articles outlining the interference and possible detrimental effects played by our synthetic technologies.

There are also theories that staying in alignment could play an important part in the future expansion of our collective human consciousness. The heartbeat of the Earth is connected to us in ways that are only starting to be understood.

But, why not let yourself be the judge? Start noticing how you feel when you spend too much time around TV, computers, cell phones, etc. And comparatively, the next time you’re out in nature, really tune in to how the images, colors, and sounds are affecting your mind and body.

Listen to the Earth’s heartbeat. She is communicating with you, so get to know and feel her language. Whether you realize it or not, she is calling you back to your organic essence.

Crimson Reverie

Friends send word
that it’s a stellar
autumn back home,
punctuated with pics
of unimaginable
flushes of perfect
color, ringing against
deep blue skies,
nudging my heart
to impossible
yearnings…

For long luxurious
walks scented
by Nature’s turning,
the poignant musk of
her full fruition,
apricot and crimson
ablaze with sunlight,
her dazzling glow
embracing me,
bending my mood
and contemplation.

Whoever could feel
tired or defeated
on such days?

I felt naught
but goodness and
rightness on these
halcyon treks,
Nature teaching me
the natural way
of everything –
It is not death,
but a tender
“see you later”,
only to rise up
again, transformed
in sweet green,
bidding me “hello”,
begging me to
walk and talk
of possibilities,
plans, the rebirth
of everything,
including me.

But just for awhile,
how my heart longs
to stroll once again
‘neath that crimson…

The Power of Kindness

Small acts of kindness,
flickers of light uplifting
hearts out of darkness.

Be kind.

Each drop of kindness is a spark of light we contribute to humanity. It ripples ever outward, with healing grace. Kindness is a simple, small act of love. It shows we care about the world around us. It gets us out of “me”, into “what can I do for others?”

It does not have to be costly in terms of time or money. It can be as simple as a smile, a compliment, a few random words of encouragement. But it likely means more to the receiver than we might imagine. In a nutshell, it shows them that there are still people “out there” who care.

Kindness + caring = a happier world. “Service to self “and “service to others” seem to be increasingly divergent paths in the world right now. Which path will we each follow? Perhaps a healthy balance between the two is in order…

So, don’t forget to be kind to yourself too.

True to Yourself

Are you being true to yourself? The upheaval in the world in the past few years has magnified everything – people who are critical and judgmental if we don’t adhere to their opinions (or worse, they are outright aggressive), events in our society that do not feel right, they do not ring true, but we stuff it down inside and quietly acquiesce.

These little betrayals of ourselves, our gut feelings and own wisdom, eventually add up and take their toll. It is called selling our souls, piece by piece. We can ignore the discomfort in ourselves about it for awhile, but eventually it’s time to pay the piper. At a certain point, we just do not feel good about how we are treating ourselves.

Be true to yourself. No one is going to  hear you or respect you if you don’t do that for yourself, first and foremost.

Fulfillment

Be true to yourself,
and honor your heart’s hunger,
life’s too short for less.

The haiku Fulfillment is from my Hart Haiku Vol. 1 life inspirations.

How Do I Love Thee Better?

Renowned romantic,
Romeo confessed his
love for fair Juliet,
impassioned locution
of sweet young love,
innocence unspoiled.

“How do I love thee?”

A query so complex
the Greeks declared,
“To best understand,
we must divide what
is immeasurable into
quantifiable boxes.

Ludus for flirting,
Eros for passion,
Pragma for partner,
Philia for friendship,
Storge for family,
Agape for humanity.”

A very worthy list
to be sure, and
though incomplete
does beg the question,
“With so much love,
who has time to hate?”

Eternal mystery,
our soul’s mission
often shrouded by
many false starts,
the next question
haunts us forever,

“How do I love thee better?”

Romeo, winking, says,
“You just have no fear!
Strive to love to the
depth, breadth, and height
your heart can reach.
True love is boundless.”
