Wholly

Living life wholly, fully, completely,
is a process of learning,
with full awareness
and reverently,
for life IS holy –
I don’t mean religiously,
but yes, spiritually,
and respectfully
of All of Life,
not sacrificially
of yourself,
your own soul,
your learning,
but cooperatively
with humanity,
compassionately,
understandingly,
gracefully,
lovingly,
becoming
wholly
One.

The Power of Your Mind

What will you create with your mind today, your dreams and aspirations, or your worries and fears?

Observe the thoughts running rampant like little monkeys in your head. What messages are playing there? Are they a replay of the media hype you just watched on the news? If so, how are you feeling from it?

Resist letting your mind become a slave to someone else’s idea of what reality “should be”. The mass media constantly feeds us news that degrades our sense of self-worth. Disengage. Start listening to yourself.

Humanity is awakening. Trust in the power of your own mind and create with it. Every positive thought, vision, and action that comes from you can help to outweigh the negative forces in this world.

Your Authenticity

Simple, straightforward, and true, the daisy flower reminds me of the girl next door in teen movies. She’s just there, being herself and a friend, while the male protagonist is gaga over the breathtaking rose at school who is stuck on her own looks.

Sometimes we are blind to what is right in front of us. The daisy grows wild in the field, with the wind blowing through her petals. The essence of this flower is purity, innocence, and freedom. It’s no wonder that during the hippie movement in the 1960’s, daisies were common in floral crowns worn by women.

Be true to yourself, be authentic, and be real. Your will set your own soul free and the world around you will feel it.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” ~ Carl Gustav Jung

“Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen.” ~ Brené Brown

“There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a person being themselves. Imagine going through your day being unapologetically you.” ~ Steve Maraboli

“Only the truth of who you are, if realized, will set you free.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

Rooted, but Flowing

Virginia Woolf’s quote speaks to the ideal achievement of balance between stability and allowance for risk.

People often think of rooted as a physical place, but I would say not. Really being rooted is knowing one’s self and one’s capabilities to the fullest extent, so that there is a foundation within that no outer circumstance could ever shake. When one is rooted internally, there is room for risk. Risk leads to new opportunities and growth, and expansion of self. Life becomes more exciting, fuller, and richer.

Be rooted, but flowing.
